Very few things are as relaxing as watching television at the end of a long and tiring day. Not just content, even the advertisements that are aired are extremely eye-catching, with catchy jingles and funny catchphrases. Lines like “kya aapke toothpaste mein namak hai,” “melody khao khud jaan jao,” and “boost is the secret of my energy,” have somehow become ingrained in our minds, and there is no one who doesn’t know the tune and words to “washing powder Nirma,” and “Vicco vajradanti.”
With such a vast market to advertise and sell their products, motor companies are not far behind, and the advertisements that are aired are designed to be memorable, and also maybe stimulate you to buy a new vehicle.
We have compiled a list of the 5 motor vehicle ads that we are absolutely obsessed with, and which scream creativity. Read ahead to know about our list!

- Renault Fluence
Aired in 2013, the Renault Fluence is one of the most famous advertisements for a motor vehicle. The short ad shows the story of a man, whose car has broken down, hitches a ride to a nearby petrol pump from a gentleman driving the new Fluence. The man falls in love with the plush interiors and exterior of the vehicle, and even the man at the petrol pump is unable to take his eyes off the beautiful beast. The man immediately empties the can of petrol on his old vehicle, and makes the decision to purchase the Fluence instead.
An oldie but a goldie, the Fluence ad speaks volumes about man’s love for a swanky vehicle, and is beautifully shot, with stunning views of the deserts, further stressing on the severity of the old car breaking down.
Watch the ad, it is sure to invoke feelings of nostalgia!

Branded as a family car, the advertisement takes us on a road trip to various parts of India, where different festivals are being celebrated. We travel from the Baisakhi celebrations right up to the celebrations of Puthandu. The family seated in the car seem to be extremely happy and thrilled with the journey, as they travel in luxury and comfort.
The advertisement seamlessly integrates the vehicle’s features such as automatic transmission, reverse parking cameras, engine types, and the seat colours, while inviting everyone to hop in the vehicle, and drive off into the sunset, exploring different cities while being seated in the lap of luxury.

- Jaguar F Pace
One of the most memorable, and jaw dropping advertisements of all time, the Jaguar F Pace video was launched to celebrate 80 years of the company. The very fancy video starts with the well-lit up, 360 degree loop of the digits 8, and 0. We next see the legendary stunt driver Terry Grant walk up to the car, and proceed to drive through the 8, and then the 0. Yes, it is a total 360 degree loop, and there is a moment when the vehicle is defying gravity, and is completely upside down!

- Maruti Suzuki
One of the simplest, yet most effective advertisements of all time, is the Maruti Suzuki ad. We see a little boy playing with a toy car, and he moves the car throughout the day…early in the morning, during breakfast, on the school’s blackboard, in the evening, and finally on his father’s foot, as his dad is resting after a long day at work. We also catch glimpses of the boy’s father and sister giving him exasperated glances throughout the day, as the boy doesn’t get tired of “driving” the car. In the evening, when his father asks him to stop, the boy cutely replies “kya karu, petrol khatam hi nahi hunda,” which, to translate, means that “I can’t help it, the car isn’t running out of petrol.”
Aired during the time when cars were still a luxury, and petrol was considered expensive, the simple ad spoke volumes about the fuel efficiency of vehicles from Maruti Suzuki.
